Adding seats to your plan
Buying extra user seats at $9/month, why pending invites hold a seat, and when a bigger plan is cheaper.
Your plan comes with seats: Basic includes one, Pro includes three. When the studio grows past that, you don't have to jump to the next plan — you can buy the seat you actually need for $9 a month.
Where seats live
Settings → Subscription, in the Seats card. It shows how many of your seats are in use out of how many you have, and what your plan includes before any extras.
Add seats there; the change goes through Stripe and takes effect immediately, so the invite you were blocked on can go out straight away.
Pending invites hold a seat
This is the part that surprises people. A seat is consumed by anyone occupying it — including an invite that hasn't been accepted yet. Three members and one outstanding invite means four seats used on a three-seat plan.
If you're blocked, check the Pending section of Settings → Team first. Revoking an invite that was sent to the wrong address, or to someone who declined by ignoring it, frees the seat without spending anything.
Removing a seat
Seats are managed through Manage billing (the Stripe portal) from the same card. Remove someone from the team first, then reduce the seat count — the billing change prorates on your next invoice.
When a bigger plan is the better answer
Seats are the right tool for one or two extra people. If you're adding a third or fourth on Basic, compare: Basic plus three seats is $76/month against Pro's $99, and Pro brings approvals, templates, workflow automation, the product clipper, procurement and vendor tracking, QuickBooks sync, and 10 GB of storage rather than 2 GB.
If you've outgrown the self-serve tiers entirely, Enterprise has a custom seat count — talk to us.
Who can do this
Billing is owner-only. A Studio Admin can invite teammates and run the studio, but adding seats and changing the plan stays with the owner — see Inviting team members.
